Blogging, eh?...

...what a strange phenomemon it is. Why does anyone bother? Why do I bother? Surely I don't really have anything to say, at least nothing that anyone else might be interested in? Does everyone with a blog believe that other people desperately need to hear what they have to say? Surely not. It's still very compelling though.
If I was to argue this through with myself to its logical conclusion, I'd end up deciding that having a blog is indeed completely pointless, and not bother. However, I've made up my mind in advance that I'll carry on posting things in the hope that, more by luck than judgement, I'll write something on here which will make someone happy. Or interested... or something.
I also decided that to post anything personal on the internet you have to appear pretentious. So I'm not going to try not to be, and I'm going for honesty instead.
I was thinking about this because on Matt's blog, there's a link to a random blog... I spent about 10 minutes clicking on it repeatedly and only found one or two that I was remotely interested in. So I've stolen the code, and you can try the same thing yourself. Click on the badger on the right, and look at a random blog!
